¡Hola, Bronchos!

Sra. Schmidt-Goecker

I received my bachelor’s degree in Spanish Secondary Education from Purdue University.  While I was at Purdue, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Toledo, Spain.  I attended classes at La Fundación de Ortega y Gasset.  Upon graduating from Purdue, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia to begin my teaching career.  I taught Spanish at Union Grove High School for eight years.  While living in Georgia, I earned a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.  I also organized and led three student trips to Spain.  Additionally, I hold an educational specialist degree in Educational Administration from Purdue University.  I have taught Spanish I, Spanish II, Honors Spanish II, Dual Credit Spanish III, Dual Credit Spanish IV, Honors Spanish IV, Spanish V, and AP Spanish Language.  This is my eighteenth year teaching and my tenth year at Lafayette Jefferson High School. I currently teach Spanish II and dual-credit Spanish IV.  I am also an Instructional Technology Coach facilitating the integration of technology into teaching and learning at JHS.
I look forward to working with you and your child.  If you ever have a concern, comment, or question, please contact me via email at [email protected] or by phone at JHS 772-4700 ext. 2800.
